Newcastle United Football Club plays their matches at St. James’ Park in Newcastle. The club discourages fans from bringing any bags to the stadium, but they allow entry for bags that are A4 size or smaller. All bags will be subject to search.

Getting to St. James Park Stadium
Newcastle Train Station
St. James Metro Station is the closest on the Metro, but this is generally best for local travel only. It is literally across the street, so it is less than a 1 minute walk away. If you’re travelling from Central Metro Station, then you can take the Metro here with a changeover at Monument. Match days are likely to be quite busy, so it’s usually better to walk to St. James Park Stadium.
You can easily access St. James Park from Newcastle’s city centre. If you’re travelling by train, the stadium is only 950 metre (0.6 mile) walk from Newcastle Station.
Newcastle Airport
If you’re flying into Newcastle Airport, this is about 9.9km (6 mile) drive away from St. James Park. A taxi journey would be at least 20 minutes, possibly longer on busier days.
You can also access Newcastle’s Metro, which has direct access to Monument Metro, which is about a 5-minutes walk to the stadium. Altogether, you should plan for at least 45 minutes to get from the airport to the stadium.
