Does Reading Station have luggage lockers?

Reading Station does not offer luggage lockers inside the station, but CitySpareSpace can help with you with Reading bag storage. We offer left luggage in Reading with trusted shops. These shops use their spare space to offer you convenient luggage storage in Reading that’s only a short walk from Reading Station.

How much does it cost?

From only £7 per item, you can drop your bags with our Reading bag storage location. Unlike other websites, we do not charge hidden booking fees. Your storage time is also flexible. You only pay a day rate, which means that you can arrive any time during opening hours on the dates that you booked. So don’t worry if you’re early or late with your drop off or pick up times. Just arrive during opening hours, and you can access your storage.

What can I expect?

Every CitySpareSpace luggage storage location is different. We partner with convenience stores, cafes, hotels, and more. Our bag storage location will confirm that you booked online. Once this happens, they should attach a numbered tag to your suitcase (if available). When they do this, take a picture or write down your tag number. Then you’re all set. This is usually a quick process, less than a few minutes. When you return to pick up your luggage, tell the staff your bag tag number.

What can I store in Reading?

You can store suitcases, rucksacks, handbags, boxes, prams, and more. There is size restriction on storing your suitcase with our Reading bag storage location. If you need to store your pram, that’s no problem. If your pram folds down, just book for 1 suitcase. If you can’t fold your pram or pushchair, just email or call us before to confirm that you can do this.

Do I have to book online?

Yes, CitySpareSpace requires an online booking. We partner with independent businesses all over the world. These partners agree that all customers must book online. In store payments will not be accepted. Once you book online, you’ll receive immediate confirmation. Bring this confirmation to drop off your luggage.

How far is it from Reading Station?

You can view all of our Reading luggage storage locations. On each location booking page, you can easily view distance and walking time from Reading Station.  

Is the storage safe?

We vet all of our storage partners. No one can register their business without our approval. Every booking is backed by our Reimbursement Guarantee covered in our Terms of Usage. Most locations have security cameras. Also, your items are kept in a secure area of the shop.

Is there storage for Reading Festival?

Yes, our partners are available for Reading Festival bag storage. Ensure that you plan ahead, as Reading Festival has a strict policy on bag sizes and what you can bring into the venue. Usually, you’re not allowed a bag larger than A4 size: 210 x 297mm (8.3 x 11.7in).

Is overnight storage available?

Yes, overnight storage is available. Most locations in our network are 7 days per week. Our booking system won’t allow you to book dates if they’re not open.
